Yes, this is a cost of fuel, cardboard, packing materials, and many hours of human labor from our team in the orchard to the men and women who work in shipping all across the United States that are ultimately responsible for the final delivery to your front door.
We ship in cardboard that is recyclable and Aspen Tree shavings to help stabilize the avocados in transit.
As we move through this inaugural season of shipping directly to our Avocado Eaters, we will continue to research more sustainable packaging solutions.
